Poor PDF Image Quality

Is UpDox working on anything to address the image quality of initial uploads/PDF’s? Some of the documents we send get very dark and look terrible. so much so that we’ve had to retain our old school fax machine for certain types of faxes in order to assure the images don’t become so distorted that we can’t submit them to insurance companies. I have an example attached (with no sensitive information) that could be used to show how bad a file looks after uploading once.

Hi Audrey,

It seems like you might be printing documents to smart B&W. Could you please go to Menu - Admin - Users - select your user - Settings and let us know how you have the following field set?

If you choose “Color (16million colors)”, you might have better luck with your image quality.

Let us know how this works for you.

This is confusing. If that is the case, then why is Smart B&W the recommended setting?

@ftega  it’s a personal preference… kind of depends what type of documents you send and how many pages.  The advantage of B&W is the file size is smaller and will be received by the distant end more quickly.
